Raising awareness on animal welfare standards is pertinent. Farmed animals are suffering due to ignorance. We are educating farmers at Manyere Primary School, Sadza on how to improve the welfare of egg-laying hens and alleviate the suffering of these sentient beings. Farmers are vital in reducing the suffering of animals in agriculture and we encouraged farmers to adopt the free-range system on egg laying hens in order to enhance their welfare. Battery cages are cruel. Let’s join the development for the betterment of our farmed animals’ welfare.
