The advocacy against battery cages continues. Protection of our animals starts with the protection of their welfare. Today we conducted an awareness campaign in Trealawn where we educated farmers of the detrimental effects to egg laying hens caused by the use of battery cages. Farmers were encouraged to adopt the free-range system for egg laying hens in order to ensure better welfare of the egg laying hens. We continue pushing for an end to the use of battery cages as they are cruel to our chickens. Help us spread the message and save our hens from cruelty.
